Upper Swanmore, near Droxford
OS Explorer Map 119, Grid Ref SU591176

The team that kept us busy at Phrympth Copse near Dundridge also look after Little Horsecroft Copse nearby, and invite us to their annual open day. There will be demonstrations by two hurdle makers, charcoal burning, and making thatching spars.
Hugh Milner, a woodland management expert, will give a guided tour, and Pete Potts will lead a walk looking at the bird life. There are activities for children, and refreshments will be available.

Directions

Please use the map link below.
Coming from the south, turn left at the crossroads on the A32 at Midlington (half a mile south of Droxford), up Midlington Hill, straight on along Oxford Lane, and left at the T-junction with Mayhill Lane. After about 250 yards you reach Mayhill Cottage on the right. Turn right down the track (Green Lane), and the parking area is through a metal field gate 100 yards along on the right. From here it's a few minutes walk up the hill to the wood. Look out for our yellow signs.
